(… And an early listen to the new forthcoming live recordings from Revive 2025!)
As I write it is but two Sundays until we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, which this year is on 5 April. If you’re anything like me, these things always seem to come around so fast, and we barely get a moment to stop and appreciate the season, let alone feel like we have prepared adequately for our Sunday service celebrations!
If you *do* still have a moment though, you may like to check out this exclusive early release from our forthcoming live recordings of a song that is *perfect* for Easter Sunday: He is Alive!
This song of course comes complete with learning resources which can be found on the song page – head over there to find lyrics and a downloadable chord chart right now.
‘He Is Alive’ is a song for all Sundays of course, being about that first Sunday, the ‘first day of the week’ as it was for the Jews of Jesus’ day – or from the perspective of God’s strategy in human history, the first day of a new week unlike any other. It is nothing less than a new creation, a new week to follow on from the first week of Genesis 1. The song doesn’t so much attempt to explore the rich theology of this new creation as to celebrate its world-impacting message, a message that we share with believers around the world every single Sunday, every time that we come together to sing ‘ageless songs of glory’.
Whatever you may sing this coming Easter Sunday, what a privilege it is to share together in celebrating the good news: He is alive!
